What is the procedure for shipping?
We book your vehicle/container. We send the booking to the Shipping Company. We send the transport order to the transport company. We arrange the “Vrijwaring” and put the car on export. We arrange the Custom Documents. After shipment, we call you when your Bill of Lading is ready. You can either pick it up or we can send it according to your request.

How can I book a vehicle?
By coming to our office or by sending an email (see details in “Contact”) or fax to: +31-(0)20-699 03 15, and by providing the following information:
  1. Copy of the car papers.
  2. Name, full address and telephone number of the consignee/receiver.
  3. Full address and telephone number where to pick-up the vehicle.
  4. Name and telephone number of contact person we can call for any questions.
  5. If vehicle is loaded: detailed list/number of goods.
  6. We give you a reference number for your booking which you always need to mention for any questions and payment regarding your shipment.

Where should the papers and keys of the vehicle be for pick-up?
Preferably, original papers and keys should be with the vehicle. Otherwise they have to be with us at time of booking.

When will the vehicles be picked-up?
It takes about 3 to 10 working days depending on the area where the vehicles are in Holland. We do not pick up vehicles outside The Netherlands.

How do I get my Bill of Lading after shipment?
You can only collect your Bill of Lading once payment is received either by cash or bank. It is also possible to pay directly by our agents (Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroon, if applicable) and pick up your Bill of Lading. A collect fee will apply in this case.

Can I pay my shipment outside The Netherlands?
You can also pay by cash in our agencies in Africa. Please note that a collect fee applies for these payments. You can also pay through bank transfer. Payments are received between 4 to 5 days after transfer.

What are your payment conditions?
Payment is expected within 2 weeks after booking. Please note that some countries have different rules for payment. Please contact us for further information on this subject.

Conditions for loaded vehicles:

  1. Vehicles should be in good working condition (they should be able to drive).
  2. Loaded Vehicles are not allowed to be welded or to be hindered from control when necessary.
  3. Fridges, Compressors, Air-Conditioners, Deep Freezers, etc..., with old gasses are not allowed to be shipped. Check link “Export of second-hand electronic equipment” for detailed information.
  4. Electronic gadgets such as Televisions, Sound systems, Computers, DVD Players, etc... must be in good working condition. Check link “Export of second-hand electronic equipment” for detailed information.
  5. Old Mattresses, Newspapers, Car Batteries and Explosives are not allowed.
  6. Spare parts are not allowed unless they are totally oil free, wrapped and put on pallets.
  7. Goods should be neatly arranged in the vehicles and not just thrown in the vehicles.
  8. Front seats of Cars and Vans must not be loaded.
  9. Overloaded vehicles will be refused.
  10. Vehicles and loaded goods coming from outside the Netherlands should be delivered with valid Custom Documents. If custom document is not possible from the country of origin, we can arrange one when vehicle arrives at the port of loading, in this case car papers are necessary.
  11. Bill of Lading should be collected on payment. By default of payment, vehicle and goods will be ceased to retrieve shipping costs.
  12. Carriers / Imperials on top of vehicles should will be removed, otherwise it might attract the shipping cost of next category. For example, a ‘small’ bus can become a ‘big’ bus.

Important: Not all goods can be shipped so provide us with a list in order to get suitable advice.

Change of ownership?

Change of ownership?

Do you arrange change of ownership of the vehicle for me or for the garage (vrijwaring)?
If all original car papers are provided to us during the pick-up of the vehicle, we change the ownership directly (vrijwaring). If you bring the vehicle to our yard with the papers, we also do the “vrijwaring” directly.
